Partygate molehunt underway

One of my moles tells me that, such is the concern over Partygate within the upper ranks of the IPG, a cabinet member (name supplied) has been detailed off ‘to get to the bottom of this scandal.’

It would be encouraging to think that ‘to get to the bottom of this scandal’ means the objective is to investigate and establish just why such suspect activities have been carried out as normal practice, and to hold those to account. However, my understanding is that the objective of this knee-jerk exercise is actually to get to the bottom of how this damning information came my way.

I’m confident that the weight of the information and the momentum behind Partygate warrants the former objective to be achieved by powers outside of Pembrokeshire.
